Spent last weekend down in Devon and visited the last 2 National Parks need to complete the Gold (15 parks total), Dartmoor and Exmoor.
Left home at 8:00 Sat morn and went down the A303 via Stonehenge, met my brother at Exeter services, from there we went to Dartmoor, then over to Exmoor (great roads), then back to my brothers house in Exeter where I spent the night (lots of food and wine ), came home Sunday afternoon after spending the morning on Exmouth beach.

I was due to visit these 2 a few weekend ago but the weather was crap, this weekend was sunny and v warm (21) so a good decision me thinks.

My bro works for Yamaha and they needed his Tenere for a show so lent him a FJR in the meantime, it was done it in Police livery and apart from having the words 'Police' on the bike it was a police bike, blue lights, radio, yellow stickers, even the blue light pole on the back (they use this bike as a demo if a force is interested in using them).
Quite handy when we came across the odd twat on the roads, seeing their faces made me laugh each time, although slightly embarrassing when pulling into pub car park full of bikers.

Me too, as of last weekend, with a visit to the South Downs - no band to meet me, no mobile phone coverage to tell anyone, no drink as the cafe had just shut, and not even a memento to buy as the shop had closed early half an hour before! But a deep sense of satisfaction at having visited all 15. I was the sixteenth rider to complete the Gold Award for the ride - altogether we have raised over £2100 for the Air Ambulance.

First person to have completed the Parks ride as a Challenge Ride, i.e. visiting all the parks in one trip is Darren Rogerson, who rode a BMW R1200GS round all the parks within 48 hours last weekend!
